Empty input queries your own IP via the self-lookup endpoint; a typed address goes to the per-IP endpoint after IPv4 and IPv6 regex validation (example 8.8.8.8). The fetch aborts after 15 seconds. Results show 6 fields: ip, city, region, country name, postal, and org.
