Every one of our 1070 tools runs locally in your browser unless it is clearly marked as cloud-powered. Here is how to check that claim yourself.
01 — Prove it yourself
/api/ai/generate (or /api/ai/generate-image), named right there in the request list for you to inspect.02 — Confidential files
Local-only tools. Your files never leave the device.
PDF, image, calculator, and converter tools.
Sent to third-party APIs and possibly provider-logged.
AI tools, transcription, translation, URL shortener, currency rates. Remove secrets before submitting.
Passwords, API keys, and recovery seeds.
Never paste these into any website — including ours.
03 — Safety model
Read the full details in our Privacy Policy, Security, and FAQ pages.
Open DevTools (F12) → Network tab → run any local tool. You will see zero bytes uploaded: no file payloads, no fetch or XHR requests carrying your document. This works for every PDF, image, calculator, and converter tool on Toolzum.
AI tools make exactly one API call — a POST to /api/ai/generate (or /api/ai/generate-image for image generation) — carrying your prompt, never your unrelated files. You can name and inspect this call in the Network tab before you run anything sensitive.
For GREEN (local-only) tools, yes — processing happens entirely in your browser. For AMBER tools (AI, transcription, translation), your input is sent to a third-party API and may be logged by that provider, so redact secrets first. Never paste passwords, API keys, or recovery seeds anywhere — that is RED, always.
No signup is needed to start using tools, and Toolzum stores no files: local tools never upload anything, and AI requests are processed without retaining your documents. Reviews shown on the site are human-approved before publication.
All of them — every one of the 1070 tools on Toolzum follows the same model: local-first processing, clearly marked cloud features, and nothing uploaded silently in the background.
